This is a Rare Smith & Wesson Model 640 chambered in 38 Special. This ‘J’ frame round butt revolver has a 3″ barrel which was discontinued in 1992 and it is a well balanced choice for concealed carry. The double action is very smooth, it locks up tight and is very clean. There are a few light handling marks on the revolver and grips. We would rate the condition of this revolver at 98%+ just showing a faint turn line on the cylinder.. This revolver obviously has not fired many rounds.
